A custom live-edge bar, built to fit one client’s home and the way they wanted to use it. Every bar, table and shelf I build starts the same way: a conversation about the space, the wood and how it will be used. There is no standard size or schedule. Each piece is built to fit.
About this build
- Wood: black walnut, with the top cut from a slice of a tree trunk and its natural live edge left intact
- Epoxy: a hand-poured blue river through the center of the top
- Shape: an L-shaped bar with a raised serving top
- Built in: wired for electric, with power for lights and a refrigerator
How a custom piece like this comes together
We talk through the space, the size, the wood and the finish. I send a quote and a timeline based on what you want built, and the schedule depends on the piece. Bar tops start at $1,000, depending on size, wood and finish.
I saw Nick’s cutting boards & asked if he could build a bar. So he built that bar & it’s fabulous! The top is made from a slice of a tree trunk with blue epoxy in the center. He made it exactly as I dreamt it would be.
